So last week I posted that my husband had the Road Toad up for sale. Yesterday he got a text from someone wanting to trade his running Combat Wombat for the Road Toad. The trade was done in less than 3 hours and we never had to leave home. The bike was brought here. It needs some work (don't they all:-)?), but he's got that nice tank I won at auction for him and that's big!
So here's the coveted Hodaka Combat Wombat. I hope you enjoy it as much as he does.
Here is a 1975 Hodaka Road Toad when my husband rolled it out of the back of his truck.
This bike doesn't hold a place in the garage or house and is stored in the barn with a good portion of his collection.
It's in pretty good condition. He actually has it up for sale, but it's priced not to sell. He really doesn't want to sell it, but he would really, really like to have the Combat Wombat instead.
This week my husband didn't buy another bike, so I am sharing a picture of one of the many gas tanks my husband has collected.
This particular one was a consolation prize after I was outbid on buying the whole bike at an auction. I bid past past his max prize and had to stop. I did get the tank. They guy who beat me out on the bike tried to buy the tank off the me after the auction, but I knew I needed to take it home.
If anyone has a Combat Wombat and you're willing to sell it, let me know so he can dry his eyes over the one he missed out on.
